When searching for a company on Google, you will often have noticed a section to the right of the search results page. It usually contains the company’s location on Google Maps, some photos, reviews, contact information, and opening hours. That’s right: this is a Google My Business profile. How can you get one for your business?
With Google My Business, you can post essential information about your business directly on the Google search results page, including a map, photos, and opening hours.
Business profiles have evolved and, thankfully, Google has integrated many of its services – including Google Maps – into a single interface, called Google My Business. Thanks to this tool, you can register your company in just a few simple clicks. The information will automatically update on all Google properties.
If you don’t register your business on Google and update the information, Google will pull it from other sources. This means that some information may be out of date or, even worse, that someone else may register your profile for you.
How to register your business on Google
Go to Google My Business and click on “Get started”. You will be asked to search for your business and register it. If your company is not listed, you can add it.
If your business doesn’t have a physical store or office to serve customers, you can still register your brand, organization, or profile as an artist.
Once Google has verified your profile and you have completed all the instructions, you will be able to:
